Many Hands, light work, big impact!

Save Our Supplies (SOS) is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Corporate Volunteering Program! We’re opening up our warehouse to create opportunities for organisations across Brisbane to come together with their team and make a tangible difference—one box at a time.
Pictured is a group of enthusiastic volunteers from our corporate partners Australian Retirement Trust, who rolled up their sleeves to unpack and sort boxes of surplus medical consumables generously donated by Australian hospitals and healthcare centres. What started out as an assortment of gloves, dressings, and syringes soon became something far greater—a contribution to strengthening healthcare systems and improving patient outcomes for individuals and communities across the Pacific.
The journey begins when SOS collects unused, safe, and viable medical supplies from partnering hospitals and health clinics and deposits them at our central warehouse. Thanks to our established collection networks, warehousing capacity, and supply chain expertise, these supplies move quickly and reliably from point of collection through the warehouse, and onto our delivery partners like Airlink.
Volunteers meticulously sort, catalogue, and prepare items for shipment, ensuring consignments are well-organised and tailored to partner requests. With each shift, corporate volunteers gain hands-on insight into the impact of circular solutions—seeing firsthand how resources once destined for landfill are transformed into essential medical support for communities in setting where resources are scarce.
When shipments leave our warehouse, they travel across the Pacific, into the hands of doctors and nurses, providing them with the tools they need to effectively and safely care for their patients. Beyond the immediate health outcomes, the deliveries help build local capacity and resilience—empowering medics and strengthening the foundations of community health systems.
For our volunteers, the experience is deeply meaningful. It connects corporate teams to a shared purpose and demonstrates the power of collaboration in creating sustainable, life-changing impact. Together, we are proving that every supply saved can make a difference.
