IT TAKES A VILLAGE

JOIN US

Save Our Supplies partners with national and international healthcare providers to create a sustainable distribution network, balancing human wellbeing, with responsible environmental stewardship .

We are proud to achieve a genuine win–win: delivering essential medical goods such as dressings, gloves, surgical tools and protective equipment to clinics that need them, while significantly reducing medical waste in Australia, contributing to healthier individuals and communities across the Pacific with reduced preventable illness, and a circular healthcare economy which reduces Australia’s healthcare-related landfill footprint and carbon impact.

Our Mission

To redirect viable medical supplies from Australia to support improved health outcomes for our Pacific neighbours.

Our Vision

To ensure everyone has access to life-saving medical supplies.

The SOS OPERATING MODEL

The SOS Operating Model is founded on two key principles: Only accept donations of supplies that are of very high quality, in their original packaging, and undamaged; and never send supplies unless they are specifically requested by our recipient partners.

STEP #1

SOS bins are located outside operating theatres and high-traffic areas to collect clean and unused medical supplies from our hospital partners.

BECOME A HOSPITAL PARTNER

STEP #2

SOS volunteers collect and compile the contents from these bins, sort, itemise, and bag all the supplies and prepare them for distribution.

VOLUNTEER

STEP #3

Our volunteers and delivery partners help us distribute our collected supplies to vulnerable communities and developing countries.

BECOME A DELIVERY PARTNER

STEP #4

The support of our partners in our endeavours is critical - together, we directly strengthen SOS’s capacity to collect, process and distribute a greater volume and range of medical supplies, ensuring that every donated item is safely and efficiently redirected and used to its intended purpose. With your support, SOS can expand its reach to more Pacific clinics, deepen partnerships with Australian hospitals, and divert even more viable medical products from landfill.
